What is tele-advice?
A tele-advice appointment takes place via video chat with a FirstVet Veterinarian for 24/7 access.
BoosterPet has partnered with the veterinary tele-advice company FirstVet to provide pet owners 24/7 access to veterinarians.
FirstVet veterinarians are typically available to discuss your questions within 30 minutes. They will help you determine whether you can attend to your pet’s needs yourself or if you should to seek medical treatment.
NOTE: FirstVet veterinarians can offer advice and guidance, but cannot specifically diagnose diseases or prescribe medications. If your pet is having an emergency, please seek immediate in-person veterinary help through your nearest emergency clinic.
If you have non-urgent questions, a BoosterPet telemedicine appointment (see section below) is the best fit for you.
What is telemedicine?
A telemedicine appointment takes place via video chat with a BoosterPet Veterinarian.
This appointment is more in-depth in terms of diagnosis and treatment, and is much like the televisit you would have with your own physician. These appointments occur during our business hours and are not a 24/7 service.
Unlike tele-advice appointments, BoosterPet telemedicine appointments allow our WA-licensed veterinarians to specifically diagnose and treat conditions (including prescribe medications) during your video exam.
