Growing up as a resident of the Key Peninsula / Gig Harbor area, I remember the days before Costco and Target, and riding the horses through the old logging trails from my family farm off Peacock Hill. Being so close to animals from a very young age, I developed a lifelong passion for them, understanding them, and working with them. This set me on a course of careers caring for and working with a variety of different animals over the years. As a Volunteer Rescuer, Sanctuary Manager, Animal Control Officer, Dog trainer and Veterinary Assistant.
