Dr. Melanie McCoury graduated from Washington State University in 1988 and brings a wealth of experience to Booster Pet. Over the years, she has practiced in mixed animal ambulatory settings, small animal emergency hospitals, and general small animal medicine and surgery. Her career has included roles as an associate veterinarian, practice owner, and leader in corporate veterinary management.

Dr. McCoury is certified in both Fear Free and Human-Animal Bond practices, reflecting her deep commitment to creating a low-stress environment for pets and fostering meaningful connections with their people. At Booster Pet, she focuses on urgent care and chronic condition management, working closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that support the best outcomes for pets and their families. Clear communication and compassionate care are the cornerstones of her practice.

Outside the clinic, Dr. McCoury enjoys riding her horses and spending time with her two Australian Shepherds, Ollie and Emmy Lou. She also keeps a watchful eye on Bumble, her ever-opinionated cat.
